What are Wood Briquettes
Wood Briquettes are produced from recycled saw dust or renewable and sustainable forests. Environmentally friendly briquettes are created from the waste created in the manufacture of furniture or the waste from tree lopping. Where the tree has been cut down, at least another one is replanted. This makes wood an excellent source of renewable energy. As a direct replacement to coal for households and burners, the briquette has a number of advantages.


  • Lower sulphur emissions, less smoke
  • Less carbon dioxide emissions
  • Longer burning
  • Greater heat content
  • Less ash produced as a result, less than .05% once burned
  • Cleaner to handle compared to coal
  • Cheaper fuel bills


Saw dust is compressed using special machinery, forming the briquettes. They are usually supplied in bags of 10Kg or 25Kg.



Bulk purchases of briquettes are available in one tonne pallets from Bioener G Ltd, meeting the following specification:

Moisture content 4.5%
Ash 0.25% - 1.2%
Suplhur 0.02%
Heat value 20070Kj/Kg
Wood used includes: Pine, Spruce, Birch, Alder, Aspen
