| Bioener G has the solution to the climate change concerns |
|
Environmental specialist Bioener G, based in Milton Keynes, has unlocked the secret to combating climate change and finding alternative energy uses. Bioener G, whose head office is based at the famous Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire, promotes the benefits of alternative ecologically-sound fuels through a comprehensive, one-stop, service that brings buyers and sellers of biofuels together in one marketplace. Following the heightened public awareness generated by Green Britain week, the company says more has to be done now before we reach the point of no return.
Managing director Mark Simmons says: “The environment and climate change are key issues and should be at the top of everyone’s agenda, but even while we’re talking about it the situation is getting worse to the point of no return. As a facilitator we provide all our members with greater access to renewable energy sources, encouraging industry’s corporate social responsibility. Using these renewable energy sources reduces emissions from vehicles, promotes plant growth, which in turn absorbs a lot of damage already caused and opens up opportunities to individuals, local companies and regions.”
The company says that the current fragmented bioenergy sector has created problems, making it difficult for manufacturers, suppliers and commercial users to take advantage of the benefits offered by alternative fuel sources because of quality and availability issues. Bioener G provides mobile quality analysis equipment and the UK’s first fossil fuel and bio blending identifier. This equipment gives security and peace of mind to the commercial customer by ensuring that they do not invalidate manufacturers’ warranties on new vehicles. It also ensures the biofuel meets the EU quality standard, allowing companies to rely on the quality of the fuels they are buying.
Bioener G is also actively encouraging and promoting the growth of feedstocks that are used to create fuel without causing problems within the food chain – an area that is not being successfully controlled.
“For years commercial customers have wanted to be greener and demonstrate this to the public. We will see less black smoke billowing out of larger vehicles over the coming months,” says Mark. “Hauliers have been struggling to compete on price with cheaper biodiesel. By providing a mechanism which brings suppliers and customers together, and by having the analysis tools to provide quality assurance, we can offer them a level playing field across all Europe.”
The company is encouraging businesses to look more closely at switching to biofuels: biopetrol, biokerosene and biodiesel. It plans to spearhead a number of green initiatives throughout the year, including innovative solutions in providing environmentally friendly fuel for the aircraft industry.
